Rob Teilhet Earns Endorsements in Augusta
Augusta Endorsements follow those from Atlanta, Marietta, and Savannah
AUGUSTA, Ga . – Today five of the Augusta area's most influential Democrats endorsed Representative Rob Teilhet for Attorney General . Representative Teilhet is spending the day in Augusta today to meet with supporters. The endorsements include:
State Representative Hardie Davis (HD 122, Gracewood);
State Representative Gloria Frazier (HD 123, parts of Burke and Richmond Counties);
State Representative Henry “Wayne” Howard (HD121, Augusta);
State Representative Sistie Hudson (HD 124, Sparta); and
State Representative Quincy Murphy (HD 120, Augusta).
“I am honored to have earned the support of my friends in Augusta and the surrounding area,” said Representative Rob Teilhet. “I intend to show the people of East Georgia that I will be a strong, active and independent Attorney General who will protect our families from crime, consumer rip-offs and crooked politicians.”
The Augusta announcement follows a series of recent endorsements for Representative Teilhet that are geographically diverse across Georgia. Teilhet was recently endorsed by Georgia's Legislative Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Jones in metro Atlanta, and influential elected officials in Chatham and Cobb Counties. Earlier in his campaign for Attorney General, Teilhet promised to announce support in all corners of Georgia from people who share his values of advocacy for crime victims, consumer protection and ethics in government.
Teilhet also made headlines when he outpaced all other candidates running for Attorney General in the June 30 fundraising report. He raised more than $207,000 in 12 weeks from more than 480 donors across Georgia .
Teilhet says his campaign for Attorney General will focus on advocacy for crime victims, consumer protection and ethics in government. Teilhet is widely known as the strongest voice in the General Assembly for protecting Georgians from rip-offs and con artists. He has been a reliable supporter of law enforcement and crime victims as a member of the House Judiciary Committee. Teilhet is also a champion for stronger ethics laws.
Rob Teilhet (pronounced tuh-lay) has represented Smyrna and Marietta in the Georgia House of Representatives since his election in 2002 at the age of 28. He is the Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus and serves on the Judiciary, Education, and Industrial Relations Committees. He is a partner in the Marietta law firm of Rogers, Strimban & Teilhet. More information about his campaign can be found at his website, www.robforgeorgia.com .
